Memory Scanner for Games

ArtMoney includes a memory scanner for Windows games that can search the memory of a running game for values such as money, health, ammunition, resources and other changing numbers.

The scanner helps reduce a large number of memory addresses to the values that are relevant to the game. Start with a value you know, or use an unknown-value search when the exact number is not known.

What Is a Game Memory Scanner?

A game memory scanner searches the memory used by a running process and finds addresses that contain a value you are looking for. After a search, you can change the value in the game and scan again to filter the results.

How to Scan Game Memory with ArtMoney

Start the game and select its process in ArtMoney. If you know the value displayed by the game, enter it and perform an exact value search. Change the value in the game and use the changed value for the next search. Continue filtering the results until you find the address that contains the required value.

Exact Value Search

Exact value searching is useful when the game displays a number that you can enter directly, such as money, ammunition or another resource. ArtMoney supports several data types, so the correct type can be selected when the value is stored in memory in a different format.

Unknown Value Search

If you do not know the exact numerical value stored in memory, ArtMoney can use an unknown value search. You can then change something in the game and filter the results according to how the value changed.

Read the detailed guide: Unknown Value Search in Games.

Filter the Search Results

The purpose of repeated scans is to reduce the number of possible addresses. Depending on the situation, you can search for values that are equal, different, greater or smaller, or use other available search conditions. Once the required address is found, its value can be edited or frozen.

Memory Scanner and Pointer Search

Some game values move to different memory addresses when a game is restarted. ArtMoney also provides pointer search tools for situations where you need to find a stable way to locate a value. Advanced users can use pointers, structures and other memory analysis features.

What Can You Find in Game Memory?

  • money and currency;
  • health and other character values;
  • ammunition and resources;
  • scores and counters;
  • other numerical values stored by a game.
